Privacy Policy
Last updated: June 14, 2026
WIP is a work-in-progress and job-cost platform for construction subcontractors, operated by One Electric LLC ("WIP," "we," "us"). This policy explains what we collect, why, and how we protect it.
1. Information we collect
Information you give us
- Account & organization details — your name, work email, company name, and the team members you invite.
- Billing information — processed by our payment provider (Stripe). We do not store full card numbers on our servers.
- Support communications — messages you send us by email or through the product.
Financial data you connect
When you connect QuickBooks Online, we sync the accounting data needed to build your WIP — jobs and customers, costs, bills, invoices, payments, estimates and budgets, and your chart of accounts. We access this data only with your authorization and use it solely to provide the service to your organization.
Information collected automatically
- Usage & device data — log data such as IP address, browser type, and product interactions, used to operate, secure, and improve WIP.
2. How we use information
- To provide, maintain, and improve the WIP product for your organization.
- To sync, normalize, and reconcile your connected accounting data into your WIP.
- To process subscriptions and billing.
- To communicate with you about your account, security, and support.
- To detect, prevent, and address fraud, abuse, and security issues.
We do not sell your data, and we do not use your financial data to train third-party advertising or AI models.
3. How we share information
We share information only with service providers who help us run WIP, under contract and limited to what's necessary:
- Cloud hosting & infrastructure (Microsoft Azure) — to host the application and your data.
- Payments (Stripe) — to process subscriptions.
- Accounting connectivity (Intuit QuickBooks) — to sync the data you authorize.
We may also disclose information if required by law, or in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets (with notice to you).
4. Your data & tenant isolation
Each organization's data is logically isolated and accessible only to that organization's authorized users. Access within your organization is governed by the roles you assign. We act as a processor of the financial data you connect; your organization remains its owner.
5. Data retention & deletion
We retain your data for as long as your organization maintains an account, and for a limited period afterward as needed for legal, accounting, or backup purposes. You can request export or deletion of your organization's data by contacting us.
6. Security
We protect data with encryption in transit and at rest, database-level row isolation, least-privilege access, and an audit log of changes. Connected-account credentials (such as QuickBooks tokens) are stored encrypted. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, but we work to protect your information using industry-standard safeguards.
7. Cookies
The marketing site uses only what's necessary to function (and loads web fonts from Google). We do not use advertising-tracking cookies on this site. The application uses cookies strictly necessary for sign-in and session management.
8. Your rights
Depending on where you live (including under the California Consumer Privacy Act), you may have rights to access, correct, export, or delete your personal information. To exercise these rights, contact us at the address below.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. We'll revise the "last updated" date above and, for material changes, provide additional notice.
